Waffley Good is a limited liability company that plans to pursue a focused differentiated strategy in the food industry, and more specifically, the food truck industry. Mobile dining, which has been dated back to as early as the 17th century, hasn’t played very much of a role in the food industry in the past; however, food trucks are becoming increasingly trendy around the world today. Old school roach coaches and outdated chuck wagons have been traded in for the more modern gourmet-on-the-go in cities across the United States. The demand for gourmet food trucks has become an epidemic and Waffley Good, LLC has come armed with a remedy.
The idea for Waffley Good first started when one of our founders, Laina Carter, was working as a server for a catering company that serves primarily for weddings and corporate events. She noticed that unique appetizer and dessert options were becoming more and more popular at these events. After attending several street fairs and festivals, founder Alex Borostyan observed an upsurge in the prevalence of food trucks in the San Francisco Bay Area. When the pair discussed these findings, the concept for Waffley Good, LLC emerged. While the two knew that they wanted to pursue a differentiated strategy through mobile dining, the question of what would be served was still to be answered. Because of the considerable ubiquity of street fairs and festivals in their area, the two knew that whatever they would be offering would have to be noticeably unique, versatile, and, most importantly, delicious in order to be competitive. Waffles seemed to fit these requirements and were ultimately incorporated into the plan.

Waffley Good has created two different gourmet menus of waffles to satiate every sweet or savory craving, with a sweet waffle menu and a savory waffle menu. With an extensive list of varying options of waffles, Waffley Good believes that they can effectively cater to a variety of public and private events in Sonoma County, and eventually the neighboring areas as well. Waffley Good’s hope is to gain a following of young, trendy foodies in the area, notably those between the ages of eighteen and thirty. Waffley Good recognizes that it is important to acknowledge the dynamics of food trends, as well as the relevance of corporate social responsibility and and corporate sustainability responsibility; thus, Waffley Good intends to only use ingredients that are locally-grown and -sourced when possible; organic, GMO-free, and hormone-free when possible; and produced by using the most humane and sustainable practices possible. They will also make sure to have several options available for customers with alternative diets, such as those who are vegan or gluten-free.
